Gravel bikes, sometimes also referred to as adventure bikes, are essentially road bikes designed to tackle a variety of surfaces, carry additional gear and are suitable for all-day riding on roads less traveled.
Road Bikes are made to be the fastest bicycle possible. By using materials such as Aluminum or Carbon to reduce the bike’s weight, Aerodynamic profiles around the frame and wheels, Road Bikes are optimized for speed on paved roads.
Mountain Bikes include sports like Cross Country (XC), Trail, Enduro, Freeride, Dirt Jump, Slopestyle, BMX and Downhill mountain bikes, they have to withstand much greater wear and tear whilst off road.
Hybrid and Pavement bikes mix Road Bike and Mountain Bike characteristics to create a bike that is nearly as efficient as a road bike on paved and unpaved roads, yet almost as comfortable and familiar as a mountain bike.
